This past fall, I was introduced to cold wax and immediately fell in love with its process, luscious consistency, and effect on linen.
I began to make these small explorations in color, form, texture, and depth. The collages on arches paper became a daily ritual that freed me up from preconceived notions of what I “should” make.
Over time, I also began to create collages on wooden panels. These pieces were made with curiosity and a playfulness I searched for daily. I have been holding this work closely as it was still very new to me. I am excited to put it into the world, and hopefully, it will find some new homes and lives to brighten.
The quality of wax is tricky to photograph, but these pieces have a lovely depth and dreaminess in person.
